Mijas Costa

Connected to Mijas Pueblo, that pretty white mountain village that overlooks Fuengirola and the coast from its hillside vantage point, Mijas Costa forms the seaside extension of one of the largest municipalities in the region – incorporating golf, beaches, suburbs and rustic areas.

Set between Fuengirola and the residential resort areas of Marbella, Mijas Costa centres upon the pretty little seaside village of La Cala de Mijas. Its quaint streets and little squares are dotted with restaurants, cafés and shops, leading eventually to a coastal pathway that skirts beaches and coves.

Just inland, and stretching further west are residential resort areas such as Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and Cabopino, the latter of which is home to one of the most charming marinas of the Costa del Sol, while a little further inland you will find the expansive country club of La Cala Golf – a paradise for lovers of the game.

The area between La Cala Golf and La Cala de Mijas is developing rapidly and becoming one of the best concentrations of modern apartments, penthouses, townhouses and villas in the area – accessible in price and close to golf, countryside, beaches and a host of amenities.
